Surrogate motherhood – this is another chance, perhaps the last one to have your own child. In Russia, surrogate motherhood is absolutely legal and based on the following legislative documents:

• Article 51-52 of the Family Code of the Russian Federation of 29.12.1995 No. 223-FZ (adopted by the State Duma of the Russian Federation of 08.12.1995);
• Legislative basis of the Russian Federation for the protection of public health from 22.06.1993 No. 5487-1, Article 35 “Artificial Insemination and Implantation of Embryos”;
• Item 16 of the Law “On Civil Status Acts” of 15.11.1997 No. 143-FZ;
• Order No. 107n of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation of 26.02.03 “On the use of additional reproduction technologies in the therapy of male and female infertility” (registered with the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation No. 4452 of April 24, 2003).
